Migration
Original Artwork on Raw Cotton Canvas by the artist Melinda Blomma
This artwork is part of my Migration series — a collection born from my desire to express the invisible threads that connect us all, across borders, differences, departures and returns.
Each bird tells a story: a memory, a connection, a moment of life.
I created this piece entirely by hand in my studio in French-speaking Switzerland, near the peaceful shores of Lake Geneva.
I used natural pebbles that I personally gather along the lake, combined with a pen drawing made with black India ink, directly on a raw cotton canvas hand-stretched over a solid pinewood frame.
Each artwork is unique, and may also become the reflection of your own story.
